Beginners should wear comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity such as a t-shirt and shorts or yoga pants. A uniform is not mandatory but recommended.

Since we are part of a non-profit organization, we do not make a profit from selling you uniforms or belts. You may purchase a karate uniform from Shotokan Karate of America prior to or after starting practice. You may also purchase a uniform from a retailer as long as it is a plain, white, karate uniform.
